Super Bowl Sunday wasn’t just a success for my Chiefs; the Canucks also got the job done, winning a 3-2 overtime decision against the Washington Capitals, as JT Miller cashed in on an egregious turnover from Caps forward Connor McMichael with four seconds left in the extra frame.

Vancouver snapped their two-game losing streak. Next up for the team is the final stop in their five-game road trip in the Windy City. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Lindholm has been quiet on the score sheet since his first game as a Canuck but hit his over in shots in both weekend games and has done so in three of his last five games. This is a good matchup for Lindholm, too, as Chicago is bottom five in shots against, and he’s hit his over in two of his last three matchups against the club.

Brock Boeser to score anytime at +155. My $10 bet would return $25.50.

Boeser has only scored in one game out of his last 11, and that was the game we picked him to score in against the Jackets (he scored a hat-trick in that one). I am putting my Mystic Mac hat on again and taking him to score tonight.

Boeser has scored three goals in his last six games against the Hawks and should get ample opportunity to score against a bottom five defensive team in the league. Also take this play at .8 units.

Vancouver to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to register a point at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $22.50.

The classic bet we take when Vancouver is too heavily favoured on the money-line and rarely does it fail. Petey has a point in four of his last five games as well as has four in his last five against Chicago. Take this play at a full unit.

Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -120. My $10 bet would return $18.33. – MISSED

Alex Ovechkin to register over 3.5 shots at -105. My $10 bet would return $19.52.  – MISSED

So many bad beats here, Pettersson and Ovechkin both missed by one shot and Washington lost with four seconds left in overtime. We are now up $102.17 on the season.
