You know the off-season is in full swing because Bo Horvat’s frustration at the idea that a hot dog could be called a sandwich is one of the most thrilling things that happened this week. Read past the jump to catch up with Bo and some of his teammates who are playing in (and/or watching) the World Championships.
  • The Canucks are currently celebrating Bo Horvat week for reasons unknown, but it’s a good time regardless. Bo took over @VanCanucks to answer questions from fans – he really seems upset about the hot dog question.
  • The Sedins are featured in the new commercial for the World Cup of Hockey and they are looking pretty darn sharp in those Tre Kronor jerseys:
  • Jannik Hansen and Jacob Markstrom’s World Championships came to an end this week, the Canadian Canucks are still chasing a gold medal. While Chris Tanev is being his usual odd self, Ben Hutton is blogging again! Jim Hutton joined his son in St. Petersburg this week and the two took a tour of the city. Ben describes his time with Papa Hutton as well as his role as Canada’s eighth defenceman in his most recent post
  • Thatcher Demko isn’t playing, but he and his Americans are also still looking to medal at the Worlds. We posted a fun interview with Demko in which he discusses hip surgery, human psychology, andJared McCann – it can be found here if you missed it. Also, here Thatcher is with some pals and a very weird Pat Maroon.

  • The IIHF Power Rankings are always fun. The Denmark entry from this weekend was next level.
