Another week has gone by and as they tend to do, the Canucks kept it .500 on the ice and [100 emoji] off the ice. Read on to learn all about Jacob Markstrom’s opinion on the Sedins, Bo Horvat’s favourite diaper-related childhood activity, Jared McCann’s poor understanding of the NFL playoffs, and more.
  • Take a trip down memory lane with the Canucks as they share the stories that their families love to tell about them. Not a whole lot of shocking stuff here – Jannik Hansen was an easily manipulated child, Derek Dorsett’s brothers accidentally stabbed him with a garage door, Alex Edler loves to sleep, Chris Tanev is basically just a cranky teen, and Henrik Sedin is a well-put together guy. Most exciting is Bo Horvat’s description of his childhood beer belly, which he showed off while wearing only cowboy boots and a diaper.
  • Derek Dorsett and Bo Horvat took on Ben Hutton and Jake Virtanen in a best-of-3 NHL16 tournament. Unsurprisingly, the rookies win. Video game Derek Dorsett fights video game Brandon Prust and everyone loses. Bo Horvat also gets frustrated with Fin, who taunts him during the game.
  • This aired during an intermission weeks ago, but the Canucks just posted Over/Under with Jacob Markstrom to their channel so we shall revisit it. Markstrom is a pretty normal guy. He loves the Sedins, fishing, and steak.
Something weird is that this version has edited out Jacob Markstrom’s (not overly positive) stance on Donald Trump, which definitely happened:
  • So many videos this week! Some Canucks & Chris Higgins talked about the NFL playoffs. Mart Bartkowski has some very strong opinions but the best part is when Jared McCann predicts a Seahawks-Panthers Superbowl. This, of course, is not possible.
  • Luca Sbisa, Powerball ticket in hand, wearing extremely comfortable looking New Balances might be the best look that a Canuck has pulled off this season.
  • In all honesty, I want nothing more than a Vancouver Cannots sweater. Has there ever been anything more relatable? Maybe the Winnipeg Not-Yets. Or the Edmonton Whiners. That one doesn’t even come close to rhyming.

  • In case you missed it, Denis Potvin called Daniel Sedin a “lowlife” this week. The next day, BC Children’s hospital tweeted this. Imagine being subtweeted by a children’s hospital. Oh, Denis.
