On the topic of 2012 Canucks draft picks, Vancouver’s sixth round pick last June, a big centre named Wesley Myron, has withdrawn from Boston University over conerns about his role and ice-time. I spoke to some close observers of Massachusetts collegiate hockey, and they all said that Myron’s talent (he’s a big guy with good hands, I’m told) was obvious, but that he just couldn’t quite put it together this season. Boston University’s headcoach meanwhile, gave College Hockey News this quote summarizing the situation: "I don’t think Wes has distinguished himself as ‘He has to be in the lineup.’" Ouch.
