On today’s episode of Canucks Conversation, we spoke about the Canucks players getting back to doing good work in the community, the Abbotsford Canucks’ 6-2 win over the San Jose Barracuda on Tuesday night, and the Vancouver Canucks’ Wednesday morning practice.
We talked at length about the work of Jeremy Colliton and the rest of the Abbotsford coaching staff in working hard at developing the organization’s prospects. The conversation starts at about the 27-minute mark of today’s episode.
We had Colliton on the show a couple of weeks ago, and he spoke candidly about what he’s trying to accomplish in Abbotsford this season.
From going over video with Vasily Podkolzin to develop him into a quality penalty killer, to managing expectations and communicating clearly with young Danila Klimovich, Colliton seems to have a good grasp on how he needs to treat each individual player to yield the best results for the Canucks’ long term.
Even with players like Jett Woo, there seems to be an improvement among the Abbotsford Canucks’ younger players this season.
Here’s a clip from that interview, where Colliton broke down the challenge of developing Klimovich:
