The most noticeable aspect of Wolf’s game is his calmness. His paddle and blocker consistently steer high-danger chances into the corner and facing a shooter in a danger area with an open lane keeps him deep in the crease and low to the ground. Staying crouched in the butterfly exposes sizable chunks of the upper half, but in the end, it’s all part of a deception scheme, as Wolf’s glove-hand quickness is rapier like. This tactic makes shooters alter their approach as the game progresses and attempts aimed at the lower half begin to pile up, albeit unsuccessfully. Wolf never loses the net, and his VH positioning with his skate and toe over the goal line works best for him. Unfortunately, there’s also so much post for a 6’0 goalie to cover, and he is susceptible to getting beat over the shoulder from below the circles. Size may not fit the mold of a modern day NHL netminder, but his IQ, swagger, and athleticism more than make up for it. Really is a cool customer, and doesn’t get rattled easily. A study in head trajectory, with excellent vision on the puck at all times. One of the more underrated parts of his game is his paddle, and how active he is with it. Blaisdell is a fairly balanced threat offensively, blending goal scoring and vision into a dynamic package. His shot is high end and he has the release to go along with velocity and pinpoint accuracy. His two-way approach and attention to detail defensively often drive his offensive game through a “create a turnover and transition it up ice very quickly” style of play. Consistently one of the hardest workers on the ice, the current Chilliwack Chief is a catalyst for his high-powered line with his tenacity and dogged puck pursuit in all zones on the ice. Blaisdell has a good frame and has some surprising strength despite what some people may view as a lack of height standing at 5’11. His wide stride and strong edge control allow him to maintain body positioning and control in contact situations. A fantastic skater, Blaisdell  plays the game with tremendous pace, flying up and down the ice. His quickness isn’t limited to his feet, however, as he possesses hands that are capable of keeping up with his lower body movements, often leaving opposing defenders in the dust or in a pretzel. More likely to score goals off of the rush with his blazing speed, change of pace and precision edge control that puts rivals on their heels, but is equally adept in the puck possession game, keeping his eyes up in the offensive zone with the puck on his stick. – Brayden Sullivan, Draft Geek

Well-conditioned warrior who looked impressive during the World Junior Challenge. Although he is under six foot, he plays big and displays excellent “wide” speed that helps him stay around the pucks where loose or ready to be loosened in the middle and attack zones. Will jump into small enemy breakdowns and advance them in transition. Opportunistic around the crease winning rebounds and putting them in the back of the net. A high tempo attacker that can swoop from outside to middle open lanes before you know he has re-positioned. Aaltonen is an undersized winger who is most effective in an offensive role. He’s a dual threat because he can both make plays and finish them. He’s been leaning towards being a playmaker but he also has a very good wrist shot, and he’s very good at opening lanes for his shot. He’s also a reliable defensive player who can kill penalties as well. With his January birthday, Aaltonen is on the older side for his draft class, and he’s also very mature for someone his age. Expectations were very high for him based on his 16-year-old season, and even though he’s shown good progress since then, he hasn’t really dominated as a 17-year-old as was expected. Aaltonen is likely going to get drafted in the middle rounds of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.  – Jokke Nevalainen, Dobber Prospects

Aaltonen has many tools you would want from a prospect. He is a very good skater with quick feet and excellent agility. Aaltonen has very good vision and playmaking skills and he can also stickhandle well in tight spaces. He is excellent in transitions due to his elusiveness and puck-handling skills. He is also relentless on the forecheck and works hard. Aaltonen doesn’t have a long stick or big frame, but he is still a good penalty-killer due to his activeness and skating. I could see him end up as a middle or bottom six forward at the NHL level due to those capabilities, but I’m not sure if he has the skills or the vision to be an high-impact player. – Finn Prospects

A Swedish centre who plays a smart game as a playmaker and plays well on the power play. Has some grit to his game and will go into the corners looking but not a true banger.
