<p style="padding-left: 40px;text-align: left">The month of November has been harrowing for the Canucks. After starting the season 8-3-1 in October the Canucks went 5-7-3 in November. However, they closed out their six game road trip in Edmonton on a high note with a 5-2 win against the Pacific Division leading Oilers. The Canucks set the tone for the game right from the first period, outshooting the Oilers 17-7 and 38-29 total. They were struggling to get shots on goal during this road trip averaging 25.6 SOG compared to their season average of 32. Bo Horvat and Elias Pettersson did a great job against the Oilers&#8217; top line, holding Connor McDavid to two points and kept Leon Draisaitl off the score sheet entirely, even Loui Eriksson with his first goal of the year had more points than Draisaitl tonight. Tanner Pearson led the Canucks with a 4 point night and Horvat was right behind him with 3 points.</p>

<p>Bo Horvat was a work horse for the Canucks playing 22:30 including 4:04 on the power play and 2:24 on the penalty kill. He also had 3 assists, 4 shots and a 5-on-5 55.17CF%.</p>
<p>Despite Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser being left off the scoresheet they had a solid game. Petterson had 4 shots, 5-on-5 68.97CF%, 8SCF 4SCA and 3HDCF 0HDCA. Boeser had 6 shots, 5-on-5 62.96CF%, 8SCF 4SCA and 3HDCF 0HDCA. The goals will come soon its just a matter of time.</p>
<p>The Canucks won the special teams battle tonight. The Oilers&#8217; have the best power play in the league and the Canucks successfully killed all three power plays they faced. The dominate duo of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid lead the NHL in power play just ahead of Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes.</p>

<p>The Canucks successfully killed all 3 penalties taken and Tanner Pearson scored a short-handed goal assisted by J.T. Miller. Also, the Canucks went 1 for 3 on the power play thanks to PP2 sniper Tyler Graovac who scored his second power play goal of the season.</p>
<p>Once again Alex Edler has been playing too much and he is burning out quickly. The 33 year old left game with an upper body injury with two minutes left in the second and having played 16:14 in the game. Travis Green needs to seriously take a look a Edler’s minutes and give Quinn Hughes and Troy Stecher more ice time and he might have to now if Edler is out of the lineup. Hughes with a 5-on-5 52.05 SCF% and Stecher with a 5-on-5 51.40 SCF% are the only two defensemen with a SCF% over 50.00%.</p>
<p>Once again the second line shuffle continued and tonight Bo Horvat&#8217;s line mates were Tanner Pearson and Loui Eriksson. They had a strong game tonight but going into this season Travis Green wanted to establish permanent line mates for Horvat after the revolving door last season. Help is on the way with Antoine Roussel headed back to the Canucks after a conditioning stint in Utica. Last season Horvat and Roussel had great chemistry together. They played 268:16 in 65 games together and had a 54.10CF%, 15GF and only 5GA. Pearson is playing superb right now and he could move to the top line with Petterson and Boeser with Miller moving to Horvat&#8217;s line with Roussel.</p>
