Cory HergottIt looks like the Utica Comets have added yet another forward on a pro tryout. The ECHL transactions page has Vincent Arseneau listed as being loaned to Utica. With the injuries piling up again, the Comets needed to flesh out their roster. Darren Archibald, Wacey Hamilton, Yan-Pavel Laplante, Brendan Woods, Jayson Megna, and Brendan Woods are all forwards who are out with various injuries and the Comets needed some insurance up front.
The 25-year-old Arseneau is a 6’2″, 216lbs forward who plays both wings. The undrafted Arseneau has bounced between the AHL, CHL, and ECHL since the 2012/13 season. In 19 games this season with the Allen Americans, he has accumulated 11 goals and six assists, for 17 points to go along with his 60 penalty minutes.
The Comets are back on the ice on Friday vs the Toronto Marlies at 4:00 pm Pacific. As always, CanucksArmy will have your post-game report following the game.
