Comets Recall Michael Garteig from Kalamazoo

The Utica Comets announced this morning that they have recalled Michael Garteig from the Kalamazoo Wings. I was still waiting for the other shoe to drop with this recall, as neither the parent Vancouver Canucks or the Comets had made any announcements yet regarding any of their other goaltenders. That was until Rick Dhaliwal tweeted this out just as I was finishing up writing this piece.
For Garteig, this will be his second recall to Utica this season. In his last recall, Garteig did not play a game while Thatcher Demko was recalled by Vancouver. Garteig played in eight games for Utica last season, allowing 21 goals and posting a goals against average of 3.01 and a save percentage of 0.897 while going 0-4-1 for his efforts. So far this season, Garteig has played in 4 games for K-zoo, going 2-2 with a 4.23 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.881.
The Comets are in action today at 4:00 pm Pacific as they take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. CanucksArmy will have your post-game report following the game.
