It’s time for the final power rankings of 2015! Find out which Canuck ends the year on the highest note! Find out which Utica Comets have done enough to warrant a mention! All this and more past the jump.
1. Jannik Hansen:
I’m not going to tell you that 2015 wasn’t yet another Year of the Sedins because it was. But if we look beyond those two, 2015 was totally the year of Jannik Hansen. Hansen has one game left to cap off the calendar year, but Saturday night saw him at his best – scoring two goals, snapping the Canucks 3-on-3 OT losing streak, and bleeding profusely from his head. Very cool.
2. Jacob Markstrom:
After he barely played but still took the loss against the Panthers, Markstrom deserved a nice week and he got one! Look at this!
3. Sven Baertschi:
Sven is looking far more Bae than Rtschi these days.
4. Daniel Sedin:
Daniel Sedin shooting the puck like this is the true meaning of the holiday season.
5. Henrik Sedin:
Henrik Sedin is obviously playing hurt and it is sad and not fun to watch but he is trying his best and still doing cool stuff so I refuse to put him outside of the top-5 again. Look at him!
6. Bo Horvat:
Results aside, Bo Horvat is making some fun stuff happen. And in case you missed it, he also wore this giant bow, which is worth like 12 goals in my book.

7. Radim Vrbata:
Vrbata is looking dangerous on the ice and also in the game preview thumbnails.

8. Alex Edler:
Edler is having a great week compared to most of his defenseman friends, who are almost all hurt.
9. Chris Tanev:
Canucks fans did not have a very merry Chris-T-mas because Chris Tanev blocked a Steven Stamkos shot and is now being called “day-to-day”. The silver lining of this situation is that we can all look at this photo again.
10. Ben Hutton:
Ben Hutton’s #1 fan had a great Christmas so he gets points for that.
11. Matt Bartkowski:
Mart Battkowski set up Hansen’s game winning goal and is doing his best as the defense crumbles around him. Keep it up, Mart!
12. Alex Biega:
Alex Biega continues to do as much as anyone can ask him to do. Brad Ziemer recently wrote a nice feature about Biega’s path to the NHL, within which Biega calls himself 5’10” “and a half”. What a small, fun man.
13. Andrey Pedan:
Ronalds Kenins has been usurped. We have a new Baltic hero.
14. Linden Vey:
This season is a weird one.
15. Yannick Weber:
Weber is healthy and doing okay but it is still fun to laugh at things like this:
16. Alex Burrows:
Burrows missed a game with a neck injury and was not in the news for saying something unpleasant so we will call this a win!
17. Derek Dorsett:
I don’t hate everything that Derek Dorsett does but he honestly never seems to leave the ice and it’s weird.
18. Ronalds Kenins:
He played this week!
19. Adam Cracknell:
The most memorable thing that Adam Cracknell did this week was accidentally hit Cam Talbot into his post so like it could have been better but it also could have been worse, right?
20. Brandon Prust:
I don’t know what to say about Brandon Prust’s week. I’ll go with “he was fine”.
21. Luca Sbisa:
Luca Sbisa has such a good dog!
22. Chris Higgins:
Chris Higgins missed both games this week but did anyone notice?
23. Brandon Sutter & Dan Hamhuis:
These two are still hurt and I have nothing to say about them.
24. Ryan Miller:
Ryan Miller’s ‘cramps’ are enough to have him on the IR. Joe Cannata is making up for Miller’s stares with some Cannata glumness.
