Today the Canucks will come face-to-face with John Tortorella for the first time since the end of that catastrophic 2013/14 season. Before the team catches up with Torts, catch up with the team’s exploits, from hospital visits to table hockey fun.
  • It isn’t usually noteworthy about when known nice men Daniel and Henrik Sedin get along with people, but earning the glowing praise of John Tortorella is not something that just anyone can do. The twins may be the only two people that Torts likes more than dogs
  • Ryan Miller made his return to Buffalo this weekend and while there he visited Roswell Park Cancer Institute and some old friends from his time as a Sabre. The full story is very sweet and worth a read.
  • Canucks prospect Thatcher Demko did some pretty cool stuff on the ice this weekend, which means it’s once again time to watch these wonderful vines of him dancing.
  • The first ever Bo Horvat / Ben Hutton Bubble Hockey showdown took place this week in Buffalo. Sven Baertschi watched from the sidelines as his teammates battled for glory. The video cuts out before a winner is revealed, but Horvat was later seen doing a celebratory fist pump on Snapchat.

  • Chris Tanev is the latest player to star in the Canucks in Cars series. There isn’t much to pull out of this video except for Tanev’s excellent crosswalk etiquette and shoulder checking, as well as his super casual one wrist on the steering wheel. Efficient and casual, Tanev drives exactly the way he plays hockey.
  • And here is Jake Virtanen looking like a nerd:
