Storylines

  • Kass or CoHo? – Any time the Sabres and Canucks meet, we have to dredge up the Kassian-or-Hodgson debate as it is now tradition. I think we’re pretty close to putting this one to bed though:

  • It’s a trap! – Regardless of the outcome of Thursday night’s game, this will have been a successful road trip for the Canucks. With a depleted lineup – the club went into the trip missing their two middle-six centremen and their entire first-pairing, and then lost an additional first-line winger and their starting goaltender – the Canucks have won three of four on the road trip so far. Now only the worst team in the history of National Hockey League play is standing in their way of completing a dominant trip. It’s a classic trap game. So long as the Canucks can keep their motivation up, this shouldn’t be much of a contest.
  • Twin Power – Henrik Sedin enters Thursday night’s contest on a tidy little five game point streak, that has seen the Canucks’ captain rack up three goals and eight total points in his club’s last five contests. That’s one way for your best players to step up and help off-set the loss of an entire first defensive pair…
  • Steampuck

In the pre-game vid, Bo sounds like a grizzled vet who’s seen it all before. After the Sedins, he might also have the best command of the English language on the team…

  • Brent

The real story here is the first meeting between Zac Dalpe and his former squad since they parted ways at the end of last season. Will the distant memory of having played on the Sedin line a couple times help him kick his game into a higher gear, or will his unrequited love for Sarah McLachlan prove his downfall?

Find out tonight on Sportsnet Pacific!

  • Brent

Delusional fanbase thinking Gillis won the Hodgson trade.

It’s clear Hodgson is only being held back by management to secure a top two pick. Hodgson will then be utilized properly next year and should be raising the cup within 4 years.

Meanwhile the axis of mediocrity continues with Kassian as it’s toothless poster boy….

    • Spiel

Care to back up that assertion about Hodgson?

To the untrained eye, it looks like Cody started the year getting top 6 minutes and after not producing (and the team losing) he was slowly moved down the lineup. Team still sucks whether he plays in the top 6 or not.

    • Chungus

What happened to you? You use to post intelligent discussion material; controversial but a rather good look on the other side of the story.

Now every post has “delusional fanbase” somewhere in it. I don’t think you want to admit it, but the people bashing you all the time are getting to you and you are stooping to their level. Hope the Canucks don’t make the same mistake against the Sabres.

    • Ruprecht

Come on man. At least try. You and I both know that the only cup Hodgson will raise on the ice in the next 4 years will be when he adjusts his jock. In which case, yeah he’ll be raising a few.

  • Ruprecht

hahahaha I post what I want to post. how dare any of you question the great NM00…..

oh and I only post negative shots cause I just recently realized that I have no friends or a girlfriend for that matter.

I used to have man love for Cody so obvs I am still upset.

    • Ruprecht

I can verify everything my brother here says.

yes hes that big of a loser and yes he does have a crush on Cody.

I often find him whispering “Cody come back please” in his sleep.
