Fast Facts
> Goalie Tango Continues: The Canucks will try and mark a new franchise record (15 straight games with a point) tonight with Cory Schneider between the pipes. It’ll be the fourth start for the 2004 first round pick in two weeks, he’ll be looking for fifth straight win and looks experienced & wise beyond his years (let’s hope he sticks around Vancouver for a bit).
> Numbers Lie: Vancouver fans are all too aware that having a high ranked PP is misleading; some games it pops and others it fizzles and borders embarassing in its execution. Same too with the Oilers, especially on the PK. Though they rank last in the league, they haven’t given up a PP goal in the last 18 chances, dating back to the last time these two teams met.
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: In the last five meetings Edmonton has averaged 2.20 goals per game against the Canucks, far below their season average of 2.52. Luongo has backed two of those victories while Schneider picked up the victory on Boxing Day.
