Fast Facts
> Much Ado About Nothing: The Presidents’ Trophy will be in the building tonight, but short of rolling it out in front of a rival, the Canucks have little reason to smile (see Cam’s piece for more). Regardless of who they’re losing too, the scoring has has suddenly become a train wreck and they’re playing out the stretch without two-thirds of their third line (Malhotra & Torres). On the sunny side of life, they welcome Alex Edler back to the line-up and, with Hamhuis eyeing Saturday, it looks like the first time the Canucks will ice their top six defenseman will be game one of the first round. Luongo gets one more shot in net before Schneider finishes out the season in Calgary. Canucks need to get back on the winning ways of life soon because they’ll be facing a hungry, battle-worn 8th seed in a week.
> Limping To The Finish Line: Minnesota is lugging around an ugly IR report: Martin Havlat – upper body; Marek Zidlieky – hamstring; Nick Schultz – post-concussion syndrome; John Madden – foot; Cam Barker – back, Guillaume Latendresse – lower body; and Marco Scandella – broken finger. Richards has been forced to run with call up’s Maxim Noreau and Justin Falk on defense and Carson McMillan and Colton Gillies up front. The Wild head into the post season with your average "what went wrong?" questions, but perhaps at the top of their list is an All Star foward and fewer trips to the emergency room.
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: The highest scoring Canucks player against the Wild this season: Manny Malhotra (3-4-7).
