Minnesota Wild forwards Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick have been placed into COVID-19 protocols.
The two forwards were in Vancouver for the Canucks’ Tuesday night home opener, which the Wild won by a score of 3-2.
This is the second time in three games that a Canucks opponent have put players into protocol shortly after their games, as Chicago placed players into protocol shortly after the Canucks’ game against them on October 21st.
In speaking to Patrick Johnston of The Province, general manager Jim Benning said the Canucks trust the protocols and that it’s a good thing that everyone is vaccinated.
The Canucks were among the North American sports teams hit hardest by COVID-19 when over 25 players and staff tested positive back in April.
More to come.
