What’s On Tap? The Complete Canucks Schedule March 6th – 12th

By Jeremy Davis

It’s the first full post-Trade Deadline week, and the first full week with Jonathan Dahlen (and Zack MacEwen) as Canucks prospects. While the CHL is winding down towards the playoffs, there are other leagues that are already there. The NCAA prospects are into elimination tournaments this weekend, and the European prospects are in playoff rounds as well.

Games to Watch
- Wednesday, 7:05 pm: On Wednesday, Tate Olson and the Prince George Cougars host Jannik Hansen and Sven Baertschi’s old Portland Winterhawks, now led by draft eligible centre Cody Glass, who has 85 points in 63 games. Finnish born defenceman Henri Jokiharju is another draft eligible player of note with the Winterhawks, while the Cougars boast their own projected first round draft prospect in 6-foot-5 Russian winger Nikita Popugayev.
- Saturday, 3:00 pm: On Saturday after noon, you can see Guillaume Brisebois and Carl Neill take on Brisebois’ former team, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, which is now Rodrigo Abols’ team. It’s ironic that after years of toiling on a terrible team, the Titan are finally getting good the season after Brisebois leaves. Both teams have a draft eligible prospect to watch: centre Antoine Morand on the Titan, and defenceman Pierre-Olivier Joseph on the Islanders.
