<p>Ty Mueller, a 21-year-old forward from Alberta, will now fill in to be the lone Abbotsford representative at this year&#8217;s All-Star festivities.</p>

<p>Mueller is enjoying a strong rookie campaign, sitting third on the Abbotsford squad in scoring 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists). He also ranks 10th in scoring among all AHL rookies.</p>
<p>Drafted in the fourth round (105th overall) in 2023, Mueller has quickly become a valuable asset for the Canucks, earning significant minutes in all situations and showcasing his versatility throughout the lineup. His strong two-way play, offensive instincts, and responsible defensive game have made him a key contributor to Abbotsford&#8217;s success this season.</p>
<p>&#8220;It was exciting,&#8221; Mueller told reporters on Saturday night. &#8220;RJ [Ryan Johnson] called me this morning and let me know, and obviously, it&#8217;s a huge honour and something pretty special.&#8221;</p>

<p>The Coachella Valley Firebirds in Palm Desert, California, will host this year&#8217;s event. The 2025 AHL All-Star Classic kicks off with its AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, February 2 (6:00 pm PT), followed by the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony on Monday, February 3 (11:00 am PT) and the 2025 AHL All-Star Challenge that evening (6:00 pm PT).</p>
<p>Fans can catch all the action streamed on FloHockey or TSN.</p>
<p>Mueller&#8217;s Team Pacific will be looking to defend its title after winning last year&#8217;s event. Abbotsford&#8217;s Arshdeep Bains, who was also named the tournament MVP, scored the game-winning goal.</p>
