Fresh off a thrilling overtime victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night, the Vancouver Canucks have been hit with some bad news.
Forward Justin Dowling has been added to the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol, the club announced Thursday afternoon.
Prior to puck drop yesterday, the Canucks placed forwards Brock Boeser and Phil Di Giuseppe into COVID protocols.
The club now has three players in protocol, but the expectation is that their game in Los Angeles against the Kings tonight will proceed as planned.
The Canucks will continue to follow BC guidelines where applicable, which allows for a seven-day isolation period for fully vaccinated, symptomatic individuals.
Additionally, the club has activated Matthew Highmore from injured reserve.
Puck drop is at 7:30 PM tonight from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
