More media coverage of Vancouver sports is a good thing for all of us.

And that’s what you’ll be getting every Tuesday at noon, when Matt Sekeres and Blake Price of Sekeres and Price crossover with Don Taylor and Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie and Dhali — The Team. 

The two shows announced the collaborative effort on Monday, and on Tuesday, the first edition of The Crossover aired on the Sekeres and Price YouTube channel. Of course, this isn’t the first time any of the four have worked together, or even done a crossover together, as that dates back to the TSN 1040 days (and long before that if we’re talking about when these four first worked together in media, as they explained at the start of the crossover).

“It gives me the feels, so hopefully the viewers feel the same way,” said Blake Price. “These guys are like brothers, and we’re all pulling the rope in the same direction in the new media world, so it just made sense to collaborate officially.”

“Nature is healing for Vancouver sports media,” added Sekeres.

“Here’s the thing: it’s so important right now that we in the media support each other,” said Don Taylor of Donnie and Dhali. “We’re certainly not getting support from certain businesses back east. Whatever it takes to help each other stay afloat. I couldn’t be happier about collaborating with Matt and Blake, even if it means spending more time with Rick!”

“Super happy to be doing the crossover with Matt and Blake,” Dhaliwal said. “I can’t wait to hear words from Blake which are never used in sports. Him and Drance like to make sure everyone thinks they went to Harvard. Can’t wait to get a text from Matt two minutes before the show on topics we should talk about. Donnie and I will have our hands full.”
