Whoa, hey there loyal listeners (all three of you), we’re a bit late with the podcast this week. Actually I’m a bit late, there were some extenuating circumstances with the editing and uploading, blah blah blah. Anyways, this episode was recorded last Tuesday and now it’s Sunday, which would make it a bit out of date, but it’s the off-season, and nothing has really happened since Tuesday morning, so we’re pretty much all good!
This week we dove headlong into the NHL’s coaching carousel, as well as some discussion on the futures of the Stanley Cup winning Penguins and the runner up Sharks. Also, I did some research about Rollie Melanson and learned some new things. Finally, we tried to sort out all the goaltenders that the Canucks have signed for next year.. there’s a lot!
Come have a listen! And once again, we’re on Soundcloud and iTunes, and downloadable from both. Subscribe, rate, rant, whatever you need to do.

The Rundown

  • 2:00 – The Stanley Cup Final
  • 14:40 – The buyout window
  • 22:00 – Honesty versus appearances
  • 27:05 – The NHL coaching carousel
  • 32:30 – The Oilers are coach killers
  • 36:30 – What will the Sharks look like next year, and beyond?
  • 39:00 – Melanson and Cloutier swap goalie coach jobs
  • 43:10 – T.I.L. about Rollie Melanson’s NHL career
  • 45:20 – Where will all these goalies go?

Next week will be the the final week before the NHL draft, so I suppose we’ll be covering draft related topics. If you have questions about the draft that you’d like us to cover, or other ideas for topics entirely, leave a note in the comments and maybe we’ll go over it in the next episode.
Otherwise, let us know what you think about this episode, and go rate us on iTunes or something. Just remember, we think you’re all very handsome (or pretty).
