Scott Rintoul stops by to talk about his new West Coast Express podcast: Canucks Conversation Feb. 1st

Feb 1, 2023, 20:15 ESTUpdated: Aug 12, 2024, 14:58 EDT
On today’s episode of Canucks Conversation, Chris Faber and I were joined by Scott Rintoul to talk about his new project — a podcast series about the West Coast Express.
Unreel: West Coast Express began as a passion project for Rintoul and has turned into a multi-episode story breaking down the history behind one of the most dominant lines in Vancouver Canucks history.
Rintoul talks about the inspiration behind the project, and gave us the exclusive story about how him interviewing Wayne Gretzky for the podcast came together.
So far, two episodes have been released, breaking down the state of the Canucks’ franchise in the years before the West Coast Express line was assembled.

In the rest of today’s episode, Faber and I talked about life without Bo Horvat and how the Canucks can move forward without their captain. We also broke down general manager Patrik Allvin’s comments following the trade that saw the Canucks acquire Aatu Raty, Anthony Beauvillier, and a first round pick from the New York Islanders.
You can catch the livestream of Canucks Conversation at 1 PM Pacific Monday through Friday on The Nation Network’s Youtube Channel here and the CanucksArmy Twitter account here. Clips of the show are posted daily to the CanucksArmy YouTube channel, which you can find by clicking here.
