<p>After the best third period of the season that guided the team to a 6-4 win on Tuesday night, the Vancouver Canucks are now in Montreal to battle the Canadiens.</p>

<p>&#8220;Every game is a different day and every team is trying to win,&#8221; said <strong>Bruce Boudreau</strong> when asked about momentum from his team&#8217;s recent play. &#8220;It&#8217;s a pretty even league right now. So I mean, we have to play more consistent than we did last night if we want to be successful again, but I mean, there&#8217;s always that opportunity. There was always that thought that &#8216;okay, let&#8217;s just get one more and then you get a day off and get to rest&#8217; so we&#8217;re looking forward to playing tonight.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Hopefully we can create a snowball effect here,&#8221; said Tanner Pearson. &#8220;Getting the first one on a long road trip is nice. We just need to keep going.&#8221;</p>
<p>Boudreau confirmed that Thatcher Demko will be his team&#8217;s starter for the game.</p>

<p>The Canadiens snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday night with a shootout win against the Detroit Red Wings.</p>
<p>Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield are leading the way in terms of offence. Suzuki has eight goals and seven assists through 13 games while Caufield has eight goals and six assists through his first 13 games.</p>
<p>Jake Allen got the start for the Canadiens on Tuesday night in Detroit so we should expect to see Sam Montembeault in net for the Canadiens tonight. Montembeault has been good in his four starts this season, posting a 2-1-1 record to go with his 0.928% save percentage.</p>
