After their thrilling Saturday night victory over the Ottawa Senators, the Vancouver Canucks were back practicing today ahead of their Tuesday night matchup with the Dallas Stars. But there really isn&#8217;t much to take away from the practice itself. Rather, it&#8217;s what was said after practice that we&#8217;re most interested in.
But of course, we&#8217;re not going to break the rules of our Scenes from Canucks practice series, so here are the line rushes from practice, courtesy of Brendan Batchelor (both Faber and I are home sick today unfortunately.)

Ethan Bear also practiced with a full face shield, and head coach Rick Tocchet said that Bear is day-to-day and could return very soon.

It seems as though Andrei Kuzmenko loves giving young fans sticks almost as much as he loves playing hockey. Last week, a young fan proposed a trade: a banana for one of Kuzmenko&#8217;s sticks. Kuzmenko happily obliged, and today, he&#8217;s updated his shopping list.
&#8220;I want maybe chocolate, yes I like chocolate,&#8221; said Kuzmenko with a laugh. &#8220;Maybe Kit Kat, Twix. Next change sticks, maybe Twix, Kit Kat. And my friends said to ask for meat, ask for grill&#8230; good meat&#8230; chicken, maybe. Maybe steak, I don&#8217;t know.&#8221;
Kuzmenko then went on to hilariously act out the interaction:

Kuzmenko, who&#8217;s in his first season with the Canucks after signing with the club last summer after another successful KHL campaign, has quickly become a fan favourite in Vancouver, and it&#8217;s not hard to tell why.
Ethan Bear spoke about his injury and said that after one or two more practices, he&#8217;ll be good to rejoin the Canucks&#8217; lineup.
&#8220;Definitely really close now,&#8221; said Bear. &#8220;I feel good on the ice. It&#8217;s definitely nice to get out there and practice with the guys again and I think just one practice away and I&#8217;ll be back in the lineup.
Bear also talked about the severity of his injury, which he sustained when a puck hit him in the face.
&#8220;It was pretty bad. Obviosuly lost a tooth, might lose a couple more. It rung my bell pretty good too and it wasn&#8217;t pretty. Definitely the first time I&#8217;ve had to go through that, and wouldn&#8217;t wish it upon anyone.
The Canucks will welcome the Dallas Stars into their home barn tomorrow night before taking off for a quick three game road trip. Expect to <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/news/learned-year-aidan-mcdonough-brings-four-vital-years-college-hockey-experiences-signs-canucks">see newly-signed prospect Aidan McDonough make his NHL debut during one of those games</a>.
Rick Tocchet spoke about the addition of McDonough to his group.
&#8220;We&#8217;re going to try to get him into a game,&#8221; said Tocchet. &#8220;Great shot, really great scorer, needs to work on his skating a little bit, but apparently he&#8217;s a high level shot, so interested to see what he can do. It&#8217;s a tough one cause I like the way the team&#8217;s playing, so it&#8217;s not like he&#8217;s coming in and we&#8217;re going to put him in right now. We&#8217;re playing good hockey right now, a lot of guys deserve to stay in the lineup. You see if some guys&#8217; play dips a little bit, but you don&#8217;t take a guy out if he has one bad game, but if you see consistency from a couple guys maybe you pop him in there, which is okay, but we haven&#8217;t made that decision yet.
