Ryan Miller Expected to Return Saturday

Jan 7, 2016, 02:15 ESTUpdated:
Following the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night, Sportsnet’s Irfaan Gaffar dropped a tidbit on the Canucks faithful via Twitter:
With the news of Joe Cannata’s demotion to Utica, number one goaltender, Ryan Miller, is set to return to the lineup. Miller has been out of the lineup since December 20th with what was originally diagnosed as “cramps”, which have lingered into the new year.
Miller skated on Monday, and it is unclear whether or not he will start or back-up when the Tampa Bay Lightning visit Vancouver on Saturday. We’ll keep you posted as developments unfold.
Cannata was called up in relief of Miller following the injury in December, but was never called upon for game action, with Jacob Markstrom holding down the fort in Miller’s absence.
