Early in the offseason, rumours began to swirl about Daniel and Henrik Sedin joining the Vancouver Canucks organization in a management capacity.
Today, Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie and Dhali – The Team reported that the announcement should be coming tomorrow.
“This has been long anticipated, it came out about two months ago,” said Dhaliwal. “Been told it looks good for the Canucks to announce the Sedin twins tomorrow. Two of the best franchise players in history are joining management, and we’ll get an idea of what their responsibilities are — what they’ll do — we’ll get more clarity on that tomorrow.
“I think they’re going to have a good role,” added Dhaliwal. “Abbotsford — they’ll have a role in the farm team.”
The Sedins retired at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
More to come.
