Report: Canucks are one of the frontrunners to land Toronto’s Zach Hyman

Jul 15, 2021, 14:43 EDT
The Vancouver Canucks are one of the frontrunners to land Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman, according to a report from The Toronto Star’s Kevin McGran.
According to McGran, the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks are believed to be the three favourites in the Hyman sweepstakes, with Pittsburgh, Boston, Florida, and Detroit also showing interest.
Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie and Dhali – The Team on CHEK TV said “a ton of teams” have touched base with the Hyman camp, and that the Canucks are “in on it”.
Hyman is coming off of a four-year deal that carried an annual average value of $2.250 million, and is due for a significant pay raise.
We will keep you updated on this situation and everything else that will transpire as the Canucks get set for the Seattle expansion draft (July 21st), the amateur Draft (July 23rd and 24th), and free agency, which begins July 28th.
