The Vancouver Canucks have started to trim their roster in anticipation of pre-season games, cutting three prospects this afternoon.
Centre Kyle Pettit, and Defencemen Tate Olson and Carl Neill will be heading back to junior. Pettit, drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 draft, will be going back to the Erie Otters of the OHL. Neill, drafted 144th overall this season, will head to the Sherbrooke Phoenix, while fellow 2015 draft pick Tate Olson will head to the Price George Cougars of the WHL.
All three players played two of three games in the Penticton Young Stars tournament, though none picked up any points.
