News and Analysis: Pat Quinn statue to be unveiled on February 18th

Feb 14, 2017, 18:19 ESTUpdated:
The Vancouver Canucks have announced the unveiling date of their statue honouring Pat Quinn.
The statue (which will reside outside Rogers Arena) will begin display on February 18th. The statue will also include “Pat’s bench,” for fans to sit on and take pictures with. All of which is very fitting and deserving for an integral Vancouver Canuck alumni.
This tribute is fitting for a man that left such a significant mark on the Canucks franchise. Quinn served in all facets for the Canucks. Quinn suited up as a player, coach and the team’s president for a decade.
Quinn’s impact on the Vancouver Canucks is largely defined by the decisions he helped make. Along with coaching the Canucks to the 1994 Stanley Cup Final, Quinn’s superb management skills instrumented the drafting of Pavel Bure and Trevor Linden, two of the franchises all-time greats.
Bo Horvat Update
Horvat will miss tonight’s contest against the Penguins with a bone bruise. Thankfully, the injury doesn’t appear too serious as CT scan results for a fracture came back negative. Horvat has recorded six points in his last six games.
