Morning Headshots: April 1st

It ’twas the early morning of the Canucks Army Rally and not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, blah blah blah. Sugar plums and all that jazz. In all seriousness though, that little bit about you creatures not stirring couldn’t have been further from the truth. There’s plenty of great content from the Canucks blogosphere and below I’ll do my best to showcase it.
Remember when the Canucks used to be a dominant offensive force, capable of contending for a Stanley Cup on a nearly annual basis? No, not 2011… I’m talking West Coast Express days, and so is the artist formerly known as @camcharron in this informative piece on the Dan Cloutier era.
Friend of Canucks Army and likely attendee of the rally tomorrow, Daniel Wagner, provides this roller coaster ride of a blog piece, titled “A Moment of Pure Bulis”. It’s got a funny picture. Speaking of funny, his partner in crime, Harrison Mooney, also put a little somethin’ somethin’ up today. And it’s not all that funny. Infuriating, really.
The Province is overflowing with great content, a lot of which has to do with the return of one Alain Vigneault to Rogers Arena tomorrow. Firstly, there’s this great piece by Kuzma, highlighting the relationship Alex Burrows and AV shared during their time together in Vancouver. They apparently liked each other, methinks.
As for this, the second post on AV, I think the title just about says it all… Oh, and here’s the Van Provies from the last game as well. They’ve genuinely been the only enjoyable part of this season for me, for realz.
Not to be outdone by the big wigs at The Province, friend of the army RobTheHockeyGuy gives his two cents on the differences between Alain Vigneault and John Tortorella. It’s a doozy of a blog post, but also a good and informative one.
Carol Schram of HockeyBuzz also felt so inclined as to muse on the coaching situation in Vancouver and provides a very reasoned piece on the differences between Alain Vigneault and John Tortorella. You will also get the sense when reading this that Tortorella’s days are numbered. Boy, that sure would suck…
Well, that’s all the linkage for now folks. Keep your sticks on the ice.
