Mid-Day Headshots

Jul 7, 2011, 15:33 EDT

Mid-Day Head-shots is a new CanucksArmy feature where we round up today’s freshest Canucks news including funny gifs, awesome videos, cool photos and interesting links. If you’ve written a Canucks blog-post and want it to be featured here, e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Here’s a very funny Kevin Bieksa interview from yesterday on the Fox 99.3’s Jeff O’Neil Show. Bieksa on Ben Eager "he’s a real piece of work."
From Nucksmisconduct – every Canucks goal scored last season. The video is 43 minutes long but it is awesome, and worth watching.
The Canucks will again host the 2011 Young Stars tournament in Penticton. The tourney will feature prospects from the Sharks, Jets, Flames, Canucks and the heavily favored Edmonton Oilers. The tourney runs from September 11th to the 15th and tickets go on sale July 16th. Hopefully we’ll be able to stream the games again on Canucks.com, like we were able to do last year, so I can further fuel my Kevin Connauton man-crush.
Passittobulis’ Daniel Wagner has a take on the Canucks efforts to suck up to Chicagoans by improving the local AHL team (and new Canucks affiliate) the Chicago Wolves.
Greg Wyshynski breaks down the personal and law-enforcement after-math of the Vancouver Riots.
InsideToronto profiles Chris Tanev’s brother Brandon, who attended the Canucks prospect camp. (hattip to Nucksmisconduct)
Finally from yours truly – the Canucks added a couple of depth pieces this morning in goaltender Matt Climie and defenseman Alexander Sulzer.
