The best thing about Fantasy Hockey, in my eyes, is that the only person that you can blame for your decisions is yourself. It’s a huge relief from all the constant criticism of front offices that you see on the internet *CanucksArmy staff looks in mirror* and the all-around negative vibes being felt (staff continues to look at mirro). Suddenly, you’re the accountable one, and if you win, you gain all the bragging rights!
I don’t know how likely any of us are to win, but if you pick up the Daily Faceoff Draft Guide, you’re likely to be at least 328% better at this than someone who doesn’t!*
Just to give you an idea of the information that you’ll find in this kit:
- Ryan Miller is projected to stay healthier this year, and as a result, play more games. They have him playing 58 (thirteen more than previous), but due to the Canucks being, well, not as good, winning the same 29 games that he did the previous year.
- Miller’s save percentage is expected to go up. By how much, you ask? Well, consult the guide! Anyway, that’s enough to rank him 17th amongst NHL goaltenders, comfortably ahead of Jakob Markstrom.
Here’s what Brock Seguin had to say about Miller.
“At the age of 35, Miller will no longer battle for Vezina Trophies, but he can be a serviceable No. 2 fantasy option. He will have Jacob Markstrom chomping at his heels for starts, but Miller is still a candidate for 55 starts and 30 wins. He won’t post elite splits, but the Canucks are a good enough squad to make Miller a worthwhile fantasy netminder.”
If you like the idea of winning your pool this year (because really, why wouldn’t you?), the guide is available from the Nation Network Shop for just $4.95. Pick it up and dominate your draft!
* 328% is a number off the top of my head. We do not guarantee this much success or any success. But really, you should have success.
