The NHL Draft Lottery wasn’t enough to secure a top three pick for the Vancouver Canucks. It did, however, secure the Canucks a second consecutive season of picking fifth overall. That has to count for something.
To discuss the lottery process and who the Canucks should select in the draft now that the table is set, our own J.D. Burke hopped on TSN 1040 AM with Blake Price and Matt Sekeres for a quick chat. They delve into some of the names you’re likely to hear at the top of the draft and how they check out as draft prospects and whether there’s a fit with the Canucks.
Eventually, they even start a discussion about the Canucks’ options at 33rd overall. Specifically, they talk about Maxime Comtois and whether there would be a fit for him and Vancouver. You’ll just have to listen for yourself to get all the details!
You can follow this link for Burke’s hit, which starts around the seven-minute mark or use the tweet posted below.
