In the thick of their off-season and preparation for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft, the Canucks have been at centre stage when it comes to eye-catching rumours.
Is Buffalo’s Ryan O’Reilly – who was once used as a comparable for Bo Horvat – a player the Canucks should target? It’s well known that management is looking to fill an immense hole at centre left by Henrik Sedin, but is O’Reilly the player to do it? J.D.’s answer might surprise you…
Carolina’s Noah Hanifin is not far off from his 5th-overall pedigree at the 2015 NHL Draft. It was first reported by Elliotte Friedman that the Canucks are a “dark horse” in competition for his services, prompting many to speculate whether Jim Benning would go so far as trading the upcoming 7th overall pick for the Boston native.
You can hear J.D. discuss these topics and more with Sekeres and Price (begins at 6:30):
