Folks, it’s with a great level of excitement that I share with you all today that CanucksArmy is bringing in a familiar face from the Vancouver media scene! That’s right, Jeff Paterson is making his long-awaited return to the site!
Jeff has seen it and done it all. He’s made stops at TSN, The Athletic, The Province, and The Georgia Straight along the way, and offers a wealth of knowledge and experience. Currently, JPat is the host of the Rink Wide Vancouver Podcast, where he offers instant analysis after every Vancouver Canucks game, and is a regular contributor to Sekeres and Price. To be able to bring his veteran voice to our website is excellent news for everyone.
Jeff will have a weekly column on the site every Sunday starting on October 8th, and in true CanucksArmy fashion, he’s going to write about whatever Canucks-themed topic he feels like each week!
“I’m excited to be back contributing to CanucksArmy,” JPat said. “It’s been incredible to see the growth of the site over the years since I first started writing here a decade ago. It’s a great opportunity to share my thoughts about the team with the informed, engaged, and passionate CanucksArmy readers on a weekly basis.
“I look forward to trying to offer thoughts and opinions on the team all season. No one knows how things will go for the Canucks, but we all know the fans in this market have a thirst for quality content, and I hope I can add my unique views to the many others doing an incredible job covering the team for CanucksArmy.
“It wasn’t that long ago I was showing Quadrelli the ropes of covering the team when he was the first one selected to take part in The Botchford Project. Now he’s my boss. Time really does move quickly.”
Yes, as many of you know, Jeff was one of my key mentors when I was selected to take part in The Botchford Project’s inaugural season back in 2019. To be able to work with him at the site we’ve seen grow so much over the past few years is a dream come true, to say the least.
It’s all part of The Nation Network’s continued belief and commitment in me, Chris Faber, Wyatt Arndt, the entire CanucksArmy team, and most of all, you, the fans, to bring you the best local coverage of the Vancouver Canucks. We all see what’s happening to sports media in this country, and we feel truly lucky to be able to keep adding local talent to keep making our hyper-focus Canucks coverage even better.
