Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you have written a blogposted, produced a tribute video, birthed a clever .gif into existence, or have a hockey related cause you’d like to see promoted in this space – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
I’m not going to make any jokes about Zack Kassian’s costume. I’m not going to make any jokes about Zack Kassian’s costume. I’m not going to make any jokes about Zack Kassian’s costume.
In case you missed it yesterday, Corey Pronman released his list of the Top 50 players under the age of 23, which is quite the unenviable task. Chris Tanev came in at number 38, and Zack ‘The Wiener’ Kassian made it at 48. A noteable omission was Cody Hodgson, something that didn’t escape Thomas Drance.
In absolutely stunning news, Roberto Luongo was traded to the.. well, he wasn’t traded. I just wanted to make sure that you were awake, and actually reading today’s Headshots.
Up until recently, Dale Weise had been the only Canuck to go overseas during the lockout. But today, Jannik Hansen joined his voyage to Europe, signing with Tappara of the Finnish SM-Liga. As the lockout continues to drag on, I’m sure that more Canucks will be heading over as well, and that’s why we’ve set up a map for you to track where the players are going. Whether it’s in North America, or in Europe, we’ve got you covered.
Minnesota Wild Incompetency Break! You would think that after having covered hockey for a certain period of time, you’d have things figured out. But I got a serious wake-up call this morning, when Greg Wyshynski pointed out that someone affiliated with the Minnesota Wild had messed something up. How could this possibly happen to an organization that is run so efficiently, with so much class? I guess even the best of us have our bad moments.

Over at the Backhand Shelf blog, Justin Bourne gives props to Eddie Lack’s stellar new gear, and shines a light on the spectacular work that ‘Brian’s’ is doing. Some of those designs are gems.
In case you spent the entire weekend wearing a wacky costume, indulging in adult beverages, chances are that you missed out on a 3-game stretch for the Wolves. We have been – and will continue to do so – doing game recaps for the Wolves, and just because it was Halloween weekend didn’t mean that we’d leave you hanging. Feel free to go through our archives to catch up on all your Wolves needs, or read the full round-up at Pass it to Bulis Ghoulis.
