Headshots October 25th

Oct 25, 2012, 17:18 EDTUpdated: Oct 25, 2012, 12:51 EDT

Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you have written a blogposted, produced a tribute video, birthed a clever .gif into existence, or have a hockey related cause you’d like to see promoted in this space – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
It was announced today that ‘Canucks Pumpkin Carve’ contest has begun. All you have to do is carve an awesome pumpkin that involves something related to the Canucks, take a photo of it, and submit it. You have a chance to win a jersey from the team. How cool would it be if you got to wear a free Roberto Luongo vintage jersey this fall?
Justin Bourne looks at the fine line that separates making ‘the show’ and not making it. It’s an interesting read, that also mentions former Canuck (turned financial advisor) Lee Sweatt, and current Chicago Wolves forward Brett Sterling.
Fake Season Update Break! This time around, Wyatt is back with reinforcements, in the form of J.Bowman. They attempt to talk about fancy stats, and break down the game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Speaking of fancy stats, Matt Read joined the NHL Numbers podcast, to discuss that very thing. In that same podcast is a roundtable discussion about when this dreadful lockout could potentially be over with.
In his latest edition of ‘Shooting from the Hip’, Clay Imoo has a chat with fellow diehard Canuck fan, Matthew Hawkins. They discuss the Ultimate Canucks Fan contest, Roberto Luongo, and the lockout.
Looking for an update on prized prospect Nicklas Jensen? Look no further. Daniel Wagner has you covered, with some stats, interesting tidbits, and even video. He has been absolutely killing it, but at the risk of coming off as a debbie downer, I feel obligated to point out that he’s currently shooting 20.5%. Nonetheless, he has been impressive, which is music to our collective ears.
