Hansen named to Team Europe World Cup Roster

Mar 2, 2016, 16:50 ESTUpdated:
Earlier today it was announced that Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin and Jacob Markstrom were announced to the preliminary Team Sweden roster. But the Canucks will have another representative with Jannick Hansen being named to the Team Europe preliminary roster today.
The full team roster can be found below:

Team Europe is made up of players from countries in Europe that aren’t from Sweden, Finland, Russia and the Czech Republic. In this preliminary roster, Slovakia leads the way with five representatives, Denmark has four, Germany has three, Switzerland has two, with Slovenia and Norway having one representative each.
Hansen making Team Europe isn’t a surprise, as Sportsnet did a projected roster earlier and had him slotted on the third line with fellow Danes, Mikkael Boedker and Frans Nielsen. As you can see, all three were named to the preliminary roster.
Jannick Hansen has regularly represented Denmark on the international stage with three World Championships, three World Juniors (div 2), and three U18 World Junior appearances. It is great to see Hansen getting recognized again for his stellar play. He has scored a career high 19 goals this season, and only needs 6 more points to match his career high in points.
It will be fascinating to see if Team Europe can find any chemistry and give some of the other countries some competition. They may lack the game breaker skill of other countries, but they are now slouch when it comes to work ethic, and Jannick Hansen represents that perfectly. Their play on the ice can’t be much worse than their jerseys:
