Calgary retains 30% of his contract, reducing Markstrom&#8217;s salary from $6 million per season to $4 million. The 2025 first-round pick sent to Calgary will be top 10 protected.

Kevin Bahl is a 23-year-old defenceman who played all 82 games for the Devils last season. The left-shot defenceman scored one goal and 11 points and finished with a +1 rating while averaging 17:23 minutes of ice time. Bahl has one year remaining on his two-year $1.05 million contract.
