CanucksArmy’s presentation of Nation Network Radio was live from the TSN 1040 studios this Saturday, November 25th in the usually scheduled 3-5 PM time slot.
The Canucks had just lost to the New Jersey Devils a day prior and had a match with the New York Rangers on the horizon (another loss, it turns out). CanucksArmy’s Managing Editor J.D. Burke and TSN’s Jon Abbott broke down the Canucks road trip to that point and sized up their match against the Rangers.
Joining Abbott and Burke to discuss the state of the Rangers was www.Hockey-Graphs.com’s own Nick Mercadante. Mercadante has covered the Rangers for years and is considered one of the foremost experts in the field of goaltending analytics. After previewing the Canucks-Rangers match, Mercadante offers his opinions on the state of the Canucks crease. It’s an informative chat if there ever was one.
In the second hour of the show, Abbott and Burke have CanucksArmy’s Jeremy Davis on for a quick chat about the Utica Comets and how prospect analytics shape up the Canucks next wave of talent.
Last, but certainly not least, Northeastern forward and Canucks prospect Adam Gaudette joins the show to talk about his season with the Huskies, Olympics prospects and the possibility of joining the Canucks this season or next. It’s a great interview, well worth listening to.
