Fast Facts
> Ottawa needs a hug: Winless in nine, not a single player in the +/- and couldn’t get by the worst team in the league (though Robin Lehner made it fairly comical). Add to that they also had to travel from border to border to even make the game tonight; combine that with the stats above. Take it all in. No chance in hell this game should be remotely close.
> Flip a coin for your lines: It wouldn’t be a Canucks game without more tinkering with the fourth line. One of its more consistent members Tanner Glass is questionable with strep throat and we don’t know if Volpatti (ribs) is returning either. The blueline could get a boost with the return of Andrew Alberts at the expense of Chris Tanev. Why Aaron Rome – who looked overwhelmed against the Hawks – gets to stay in and Tanev sits is beyond me. Tanev probably has one or two more games before Sami Salo’s return will earn him a one-way ticket back to Winnipeg.
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: Second star of the week Mikael Samuelsson is six shy of for 300 career points. At the rate he’s playing he should pass that milestone by mid-February.
