Fast Facts
> It’s Good For The Jokes At Least: So Shane O’Brien returns and that’s what leads the headlines? There’s no story there. He was a third pairing defenseman who found some limited success on the second only to have his boneheaded-style of play – combined with a coach who had no patience for his schtick – give him a one-way ticket out of town. It’s nice to see he’s cleaned up his act down in Nashville, but Vancouver is better without him (to speak nothing of having ex-Predator Hamhuis in tow now).
> Slumpbusting 2.0: The 7-1 mudstomp over Dallas was a slumpbusting evening for Samuelsson, Raymond and Burrows, all of whom cashed in on some much needed offense after the well ran dry in early January. Can they use that game to trigger a nice run after the ASG break with the President’s Trophy in their crosshairs?
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: Noted FA-to-be Shea Weber has five points in 17 games against Vancouver (2G, 3A) which is the lowest point total Weber has against any team he’s played over 10 times.
