It was reported by Renaud Lavoie from TVA Sports that the Canucks have placed forward Reid Boucher and Ashton Sautner on waivers today.
It was reported yesterday that the Canucks would be placing Boucher on waivers and assign him to Utica but had to wait until today to do so.
Ashton Sautner had a good showing this pre-season displaying his calm play but like so many other of the players that have been cut over the last few days, he was always a long shot to make the team out of camp. Given who has cleared waivers the past few days, it would be surprising for Sautner to claimed by another team. If he does clear, he will almost certainly see some NHL action at some point this season as he showed well in his five NHL contests last season.
With Sautner destined for the Comets, the Canucks have 32 players (including injured) on their training camp roster.
The Canucks play the LA Kings in Salt Lake City at 6:00 PM PT tonight
