You’ve waited far too long for this, Canucks fans.
Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes will both suit up tonight.
The two Canucks stars are set to make their preseason debuts after agreeing to new contracts last week.
They’ve been skating and practicing with the team, and completed Travis Green’s skating test with flying colours.
The Canucks are in Edmonton tonight, and puck drop is at 6 PM.
Lineup
Here is the Canucks’ official playing roster for tonight:
- Olli Juolevi didn’t practice with the main group yesterday and isn’t in the lineup tonight.
- Justin Bailey is getting his first look of the preseason tonight after a positive COVID-19 test result kept him away from the team for the first ten days of training camp. Look for him to bring his signature speed and size as he attempts to make an impact in a hurry and prove he belongs.
- Brock Boeser remains away from the team. Yesterday at practice, Elias Pettersson skated with Alex Chiasson and Conor Garland. Here were the Canucks’ full lines at practice yesterday:

Not much was said in pre-game media availability, but Travis Green did reveal that the team did have plans to use Gadjovich this season.
Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie and Dhal – The Team was told that the plan was for Gadjovich to go down to Abbotsford, wear a letter on his chest, and get called up later.
Green did admit that the Canucks knew there was a risk that Gadjovich would get claimed.
Puck drop is at 6 PM tonight from Rogers Place in Edmonton.
