Here’s the full quote from Michael Doyle regarding the Rogers Arena seats: “I think one of the most popular questions on social media is our seats. And I can tell you that we do have plans for the seats — I won’t tell you what colour — but yes, we do have plans for the seats.”

The Canucks have apparently heard fans loud and clear.
For years, Vancouver Canucks fans have complained about the outdated maroon-cloured seats at Rogers Arena in both the lower and upper bowls.
When probed on it in the past, the Canucks have never even gone as far as to admit that the seats are outdated, but today, that changed.
During Canucks Sports and Entertainment’s announcement of a 10-year extension with Rogers Communications this afternoon, Canucks president of business operations Michael Doyle said the club “has plans” for the seats of the arena when asked by Daniel Wagner of Pass it to Bulis if the Canucks were planning to change the colour of the seats at Rogers Arena.
The last time a Canucks official spoke about the seat colour was in 2019 when owner Francesco Aquilini joined Sportsnet 650 for an interview and explained that he personally didn’t see a problem with the seats, and that his main concern is that they’re comfortable for fans to sit in.
There’s obviously no word on when it’ll happen, but the fact that the organization has shared that there are plans to get new seats is sure to delight a number of fans.
