Finally, after years of trying, the @AnaheimDucks social media team has found the perfect hashtag to describe their organization.

CANUCKS ARMY PRESEASON GDT I – CANUCKS @ KINGS

By Always90four

Welcome back Canucks fans!
It’s been a really long offseason, and despite this game holding almost no significant value to many of us, here we are talking Canucks hockey! This will be the first glimpse at a few new faces (Scottie Upshall, Michael Del Zotto) and a few we forgot about (Derek Dorsett, Carter Bancks). The Canucks travel to Los Angeles to take on the Kings and maybe just maybe catch a glimpse of Pat Sajak.
There is a small chance this one will be entertaining, so we invite you to hang out with us for a few hours, converse on the Twitters, and ready yourselves for the best Canucks season ever.
My lying is in midseason form already!

LINES AND EXCITING PLAYER INFO
Not a bad lineup to start the preseason if you ask me. Even though it’s exhibition, the Kings could see some force from guys like Jake Virtanen, Erik Gudbranson, and Scottie Upshall.
Vancouver Canucks lines courtesy of Jeff Paterson:
Scottie Upshall – Bo Horvat – Nikolay Goldobin
Sven Baertschi – Alex Burmistrov – Brock Boeser
Reid Boucher – Markus Granlund – Derek Dorsett
Carter Bancks – Ryan White – Jake Virtanen
Michael Del Zotto – Erik Gudbranson
Philip Holm – Alex Biega
Andrey Pedan – Troy Stecher
Guillaume Brisebois – Evan McEneny
Jacob Markstrom

There were no posted lines as of my writing this.
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
- Canucks hockey. We all hate to admit it but there is some talent there worth watching, and it might take actual games for Brock Boeser to stop hitting the posts and put the puck in the net. His Young Stars weekend was filled with them from what I hear.
- Getting a hate on for the Kings during regular daylight hours; the China trip is coming up, and for those brave souls bold enough to stay up for those games, most of us are fine with just seeing hockey in the afternoon and not pitted against late night blender infomercials.
- Derek Dorsett back in a Canucks uniform, healthy. There may be still a lot left in the tank for Dorsett, and if he can bring his tough game, he might just be able to create some space for his linemates.
- Nikolay Goldobin putting on a show. He’ll have a tough task ahead of him as his spot is most likely a bubble one. We’ve seen PTO guys make the Canucks so even a stud prospect isn’t safe on this team.
- Endless new Sportsnet hockey promos
MY TAKE
After two years, Jake Virtanen returns to deliver a “murder” for the ages. This is what we can all hope for.
ONE REALLY GOOD TWEET FROM THE OTHER GUYS
SCORE PREDICTION
This might be my favourite part this year. I’m never right and when I am it’s not all that gratifying so what the heck. Canucks win an eventful one today 3-2. We also talk about why Jake Virtanen is again relevant after this one.
