Welcome to beautiful San Jose, California. Home of computers and technology and stuff. They have a hockey team that has poor lighting when televised. Your Vancouver Canucks have stopped here for a game because it’s only fair after forcing the Sharks to play in Hockeyville.

LINEUPS

Willie has some decisions to make. McCann once again forced himself into a roster spot decision along with Hutton. Will they both make it, will either? As for Horvat and Gaunce, they slot in tonight. Gaunce is making it tough too! Kinda scary we’re all for this right now.
Hope you enjoyed your brief introduction to the Sharks’ Timo Meier, he was sent back to Halifax. They probably can afford to do that.

REASONS TO WATCH THIS PRESEASON GAME

  • The game is being played at the SAP center/arena/lodge and I challenge you to watch the game in SAP. It’s preseason, you don’t have much to lose.
  • Brendan Gaunce gets another chance to impress Mr. Real Good and he really hasn’t disappointed. Is this all the beginning of “The Turnover” we’ve asked for?
  • I’m watching the kids tonight so I don’t have much else to do. Join me on twitter and we can joke around like school mates.
  • Your love of mandatory Mark Messier commercials knows no limit so you crave the intermissions like a wanderer in the desert craves the nearest Taco Bell. If this is true, the Canucks are on in periods 1, 2 and 3; you might as well hang around for them too!
  • Aside from the Blue Jays game going into 18 innings, it’ll be over, they’ll have clinched the AL East and you can let them be for a few days.
  • Coronation Street is a rerun tonight, I know I’m bummed as well, the Canucks will get us both through this tough time.
  • It’s possible the games get more exciting here on out, its possible so you should probably watch this one.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

This is seriously a line? The Canucks need to step up their line naming game pronto!

MY TAKE

There sure have been some boring, low-scoring games thus far and even though I predicted a 6-1 drubbing of the Yotes last night, I’m confident enough to throw out another ridiculous prediction: 2-1 Canucks. Here’s a more realistic prediction: Canucks go 14/39 at the dots. I’m reaching, I know.
