CANUCKS ARMY GDT# 22 – CANUCKS VS. DEVILS PT. 2

By Always90four
Nov 22, 2015, 15:00 ESTUpdated:
Has the high gone away from last night yet? Seeing Sedin mode activated against Chicago was a thing of beauty and a late game comeback breathed life into a corpse of a team that has been the Canucks. On to the New Jerseys this eve and Cory Schneider has been given the nod. Will Jannik Hansen update Cory on his great season, will Cory tell Burrows about the latest book he’s been reading? Who knows but what I DO know is that it’s gonna be a ton of fun. Old friends bring that out in each other.

Brandon Prust made an impact last night as did returning star defenseman LUCA FREAKING SBISA!! The Sedinery was on full display as well so its safe to say Hansen isn’t dropping off that line anytime soon. ICYMI, Virtanen, Baertschi and McCann got some ice together yesterday and maybe we see more of that?
Jacob Markstrom is all up in this business for tonight. That means he’s starting.

TOO-TOOOOO!!! Firestarter Jordan Tootoo brings his heavy hitting game to Vancouver and is his LIES!. Whoa, that got a little real just now. I take it back. No Patrick Elias (knee) but all signs point to Kyle Palmieri not scoring a second OT winner against VAN this year. The Devils have been atrocious on their Western Canadian roady so one more loss isn’t the worst, right?
Former #1 Canucks tendy, Jannik Hansen impersonator extraordinaire and all-around nice guy, Cory Schneider, will start.

REASONS TO WATCH THIS GAME
- You are so ashamed you didn’t throw your hat onto the ice last night that you owe it to Daniel Sedin to tune into this game. Honestly, how did you not know that was Daniel’s 3rd goal? It wasn’t even questionable. #tweetdanielahat, great hashtag, sad reason for it.
- Cory Schneider’s in net and we love him. I do hope for an absolute drubbing of his new team but in the nicest way possible. I hope all the Canucks goals hit the net only and don’t potentially injure Schneids. Too much respect for that guy.
- Bo Horvat had a great game yesterday, despite not getting a point. His faceoffs were key in giving Vancouver more possession time and if that continues, so will his scoring chances. He’s going to rebound don’t you worry.
- Jared McCann on the top of the PP was a welcome sign of change. The Sedins were all kinds of clicking last night but having another centre that can keep the puck moving is important. New Jersey isn’t exactly Chicago but having a formation like that can turn into goals.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
MY TAKE
Two wins in a row sounds like a tall task. NJD hasn’t played well against the Oil and Flame so maybe they’re due to upset? I’m hoping Schneids doesn’t drop an MVP type night against the Canucks because things were going so well, you know, after yesterday anyways. Canucks STEAL this one by a slim 1 goal margin.
I’m building hope people.
