Canucks GM Jim Benning was on TSN 1040 following the Bo Horvat contract announcement and mentioned that forward Brendan Gaunce will be out until November recovering from shoulder injury:
Gaunce is entering the first year of a two year contract extension that he signed earlier this summer.
There had been a lot of questions of how the Canucks forward ranks would shake out, and with Brendan Gaunce missing the first month of the season makes some of those decisions earlier.
The 23-year-old forward is coming off a season where he posted 5 assists in 57 games with the Canucks and 3 goals and 1 assist for the Utica Comets in 4 contests.
