The Vancouver Canucks have made a last second switch in tonight’s roster, swapping out high profile centre/winger Brandon Sutter in favour of rookie Jared McCann. The news comes less than half an hour before the team drops the puck against the Ottawa Senators.

A follow up from Murphy specified that Sutter is suffering from “bumps and bruises”, according to coach Wilie Desjardins. He practiced yesterday but didn’t stay on for the entire skate.
Sutter played 16:08 in Tuesday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and played regular shifts all the way until the final 30 seconds of the game. If suffered during the game, it was obviously something he could play through with internal adrenaline, but has flared up since after the final whistle.
Jared McCann will take his place, suiting up for his fifteenth game of the season. The puck drops in approximately twenty minutes.
