  • All the stats above are their playoff points – excluding Stewart, who didn’t make the playoffs.
  • Dmitry Zhukenov played four playoff games this week – Same as last  two weeks – Shoot more kid! (be more like Carl Neill) – Chicoutimi & Cape Breton are tied at 2 games.
  • All of Carl Neill’s goals have been on the PP. Supposedly he has been battling a lower body injury but hasn’t missed any games. Last night’s game went into double overtime, and although TOI is not tracked, there is believe he played 45+ minutes last night. Sherbrooke is down in the series three games to one.
  • Tate Olson’s season is over as Prince George was swept by Seattle. I had suggested in the CHL playoff preview that PG might have a chance against Seattle but alas was wrong. The Thunderbirds are now 17-0-1 in their last 18 games.
  • Kyle Pettit played three games this week – he had 1 goal, was +3 and had 4 SOG
  • Guillaume Brisebois returned from injury and has appeared in all four games for AB Titan, who are currently down 3-1 to Saint John.
  • Mackenze Stewart’s WHL season has been over for 10 days now – but he still hasn’t been reassigned to the ECHL or AHL – so my guess, is that his season is over. He finishes the season with 5 goals and 6 assists in 36 games with Tri-City.

  • North Dakota defeated Northeastern 6-2 in round one of the Mid-West regionals, then defeated Michigan 5-2 to punch their ticket to Tampa Bay for the Frozen Four. Boeser had 1 goal and two assists against Northeastern but was held pointless against Michigan. Being held pointless on Saturday snapped his nine game point streak – he had 21 points (7-14-21) during that streak.
  • Northeastern lost to North Dakota in the Mid-West regionals. Thus Adam Gaudette’s season is over and it’s a very safe assumption that Gaudette will return to Northeastern for his sophomore season next year.

  • Lukas Jasek played three playoff games for Trinec Junior team – he had four assists in a 11-3 Game 5 series deciding win versus Mountfield. Trinec U21 played  Plzen U21 in the third round – Trinec won that game 6-2, where Jasek had two assist. He had another two goals and two assists earlier today as Trinec defeated Viktovice.
